Abe's Buggy Rides

Amish Experience and VIP Tours

Amish Farm and House

A tour depicting the Amish lifestyle, which has been active since the 1950’s.  You will take a narrated tour of the farmhouse, answering many of your questions.  Then explore the farm buildings and one-room schoolhouse on your own.  They also offer an optional narrated bus tour throughout the countryside, where you will learn more about the Amish customs and lifestyle. Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop

Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop has the best cheddar cheese bread, plus many other baked goods, such as whoopie pies, cookies, breads, rolls and more. 

Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market

This farmers market is not just for meats. In addition to a nice selection of meats, you will find a large variety of crafts and food items.  Don’t forget to sample some of the chocolates at the various stands or have a sausage for lunch at one of the dining counters. Countryside Market

All kinds of Amish snacks along with fresh made soft pretzels.  The store include many Amish related items, fabric crafts, pillows, quillows and more. Located at 2966 Stumptown Road, Ronks, PA 17572.

Down on the Farm Creamery

Delicious ice cream made right on the Amish dairy farm. Many flavors and toppings.  Also try their chocolate milk. Located at 509 Maypost Road, Strasburg, PA 17579.

Katie's Kitchen

Amish owned restaurant, great place for lunch or dinner. Katie’s menu is a mixture of traditional Amish meals as well as “English” comfort food.  Get a cup of their cheeseburger soup, it is the best. Located at 200 Hartman Bridge Road, Ronks, PA 17572.

Kitchen Kettle Village

40 stores and shops to explore. Don’t forget to visit the Jam & Relish Kitchen, where you will find an abundance of samples, before you make your purchase.  Also enjoy the Fudge shop and Lapp’s Ice Cream. Spend a few hours or all day. Located at 3529 Old Philadelphia Pike, Intercourse, PA 17534.

Mennonite Information Center & Biblical Tabernacle

Learn about the difference between the Mennonite and the Amish.  Also visit the museum of Amish and Mennonite heritage and handcrafts.  Adjacent to the information center is a full size reproduction of the Old Testament Biblical Tabernacle with tours and lectures all year round. Riehl's Quilts and Crafts

Amish store right next to their house.  A huge selection of quilts and other fabric crafts.  Beautiful grounds and very friendly. Located at 247 East Eby Road, Leola, PA 17540.
